I love to build products. I started my career designing turntables for a Japanese company back in the early eighties. However, every time I start down the product path, I get redirected into sales and marketing or management.  Even in that first job, I eventually became the National Sales Manager for the US, growing sales from $50M per year to more than $200M.

After stints with other companies that somehow followed the same trajectory (from product development to sales) I found that I really had an entrepreneurial spirit. I never lost my love for building products but found building companies to be maybe even more satisfying. 

I have founded six different technology-based companies - four with exits via acquisition.  Interestingly, I learned more from the two companies that were less successful. With the benefit of hindsight, it’s easy to identify where things could have been redirected for a more successful outcome.  An experience that I now leverage with my clients.   

I have developed a lot of technology and sold 17 patents to Google in 2013. 

Through the years, I added significantly to my skill set, becoming a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional (LBBP) with a knowledge of operations processes and systems; and a Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA).  CMAs specialize in budgeting, managerial accounting, cost and financial analysis and strategic business decisions from a financial perspective.
